A true Harlem original, raised in a working class household with strong Christian values, Ms. Grantham was nurtured and exposed to fundamentals that would crystalize into the artist you see today. As an inexhaustible font of strength, her highly influential mother was a valued seamstress during the Garment District’s golden age. This highly refined skill and diligence was passed down to Ms. Grantham at a very young age.

Due to an early exposure to fashion and visual appeal to match, Ms. Grantham became a model soon after high school for the world famous Barbizon Agency. Honing her fashion sense into a strong and unique sense of style, her life as a model completed the skills she needed for her creations to come.

Seen now as a freelance designer and crafter of fine goods, she became the talk of the town, her wares coveted by the elite, the famous and those who want something in their personal collection that stands out. Her custom made kitchen and dining sets, accent pillows, paintings and photographs have received overwhelming endorsements from jazz legends like Ms. Nancy Wilson to television personalities like Judge David Young.

Featured in Gallery and Studio Magazine, Ms. Grantham was touted for her mixed media art pieces. Exotic fabrics blended into geometric abstractions, her paintings challenge the art standard and entrance viewers in an unforgettable experience. Turning her artistic eye to the jeweled canvas that is New York City, her landscape photography shows another side to Ms. Grantham that Kenta and acrylics cannot cover.

Finding influence and encouragement by fellow artists such the legendary muralist De La Vega and visual artist Elton Tucker, this longtime member of the West Side Arts Coalition and the Women in the Arts Foundation, Ms. Grantham’s best work is always her next piece. When skies the limit, why not get there with style!

Ms. Grantham would like to extend a very special thank you to her children J. David Howard and Ms. Dominique Middleton. Also, a special thank you to her brother, Mr. William Simmons Esq.
